Otter Creek Wilderness West Virginia
This was the second visit that David, Matt and myself had taken to the Otter Creek Wilderness.
The first visit was in the Fall of 2005, we now experienced it in early Spring 2008.

We started our hike at the south western end of the wilderness, at the trailhead for the Yellow Creek Trail. After a brief hike through thick rhododendrons we came across the aptly named creek.

Yellow Creek. The pearly white bank contrasted with the flowing yellow waters.

Yellow Creek. The only means across the creek was by way of 3 rather old and rotting logs felled too form a bridge.

The morning after an uncomfortable nights sleep. Not only did it rain most of the night but I slept perpendicular to the slope of the ground and kept waking up rolling downhill.
